Select Invest Limited and Select Invest Trustee Limited have been established by the team at Fico Finance Limited.

Fico is a Nelson based property funder, lending to New Zealanders since 1985. Fico provides finance solutions for investors, developers and small to medium sized businesses.

The Select Invest and Fico partnership aims to provide flexible, tailored financial solutions for borrowers and high-quality investment opportunities to approved wholesale investors.

Scott Dodd

Scott is the Managing Director of Select Invest Limited and Select Invest Trustee Limited. He emigrated from the UK 26 years ago after completing an M.Sc and B.Sc (Mathematics). Originally working in computer science, his property investment experience led him to the Managing Director position with Fico Finance Limited, a Nelson based property finance lender operating nationwide. Scott has a focus on strategic relationships and investment management.

Finn Brooke

Finn has an LLB/BA from Canterbury University and over 20 years’ experience in commercial finance, focused primarily on capital raising. Before relocating to Nelson, he established and managed an Auckland based brokerage and consulting business, sourcing debt and equity for property finance transactions. At Select Invest Limited, he focuses on business development, loan origination and due diligence of investment and co-investment opportunities.

Alex Reith

Alex is admitted to practice in both New Zealand and Australia and is the principal owner of MMP Lawyers. He advises on property, company, commercial, trusts and financial law, including securities and financial arrangements. He assists a wide range of clients from those just starting out in business, right through to companies who have listed in Australia and are looking to do so in New Zealand. Alex has been providing commercial law advice for more than 20 years, with a focus on providing pragmatic solutions to his clients.

Bruce Yelverton

Bruce has a background in banking and finance that extends over 30 years, including corporate lending, property finance, project management and asset quality management. While working for Bank of New Zealand, he completed an MBS Banking at Massey University. Bruce has also run his own advisory business providing finance broking, operational and strategic management services. His role with Select Invest includes analysing and assessing finance proposals to make sure that they represent an acceptable risk to the group’s investor base.

Brendon Grundy

Brendon is a chartered accountant who has been based in Nelson for the past 33 years. His career has spanned a number of industries including horticulture, manufacturing, aviation, construction, property investment and finance. As the Finance Manager for Fico Finance Limited and the Select companies, Brendon assists the senior management team with loan and investor administration and deals with all finance and financial reporting matters.

Sue has 30 years’ experience in the finance industry, working in lending manager, administration and credit management roles for the Nelson companies Waimea Finance Limited and Fico Finance Limited.  Her focus on investor and borrower relations makes her the first point of contact for lending and investment inquiries.
